In 2018, Kharkiv National Medical University was selected as a pilot institution to participate in the Ukrainian-Swiss project “Development of Medical Education”. Our University received this status based on the results of a competition held among Ukrainian medical institutions, and it was selected among a large number of applicants. The project “Development of Medical Education” is focused on improving primary health care, respectively, on the education of family doctors, family nurses, paediatricians, managers of primary care institutions. It is designed for 4 years and is being implemented from 2018 to 2022. After conducting a basic assessment of the educational space and resources of the University, studying its pressing issues, a plan of actions and events was developed. During the implementation of the project, educational institutions that take part in it, particularly KhNMU, will receive expert, regulatory and educational support to improve the quality of education. Thus, as part of the implementation of the Ukraine-Swiss project, Kharkiv Medical University received two sets of technical equipment for e-learning: computers, microphones, cameras, and screens. Today, the development of e-learning provides new opportunities for students and teachers to develop modern knowledge regardless of where each and every one of them is.After all, the world's leading medical universities use online education every day, providing access to many disciplines to their students and others, who are willing to study. New steps of cooperation in projects will open up new opportunities for our University in the future. In particular, recently the delegation of KhNMU took part in the project seminar "Laboratory of Clinical Skills and Curriculum in Medical Education", which was held for pilot institutions of higher education in Ukraine-Swiss project. Thus, our team took part in the workshop as part of the Ukrainian-Swiss project. The stress and busy schedule of work absorbed the consideration of pressing issues of organizing the work of simulation centers in institutions of higher medical education, monitoring their work and ensuring the life of such centres. In addition, attention is paid to the analysis of the curriculum, the construction of correspondence matrices, attention is focused on the problems that arise when formulating competencies. During the workshop, participants were able to demonstrate the vision of the medical education institution team in addressing the issue of curriculum building, namely programmatic learning outcomes. For its part, the KhNMU team presented for consideration information on the programmatic learning outcomes of the educational and professional program “Medicine of the second (master's) level of higher education”, the discussion of which aroused the interest of the event participants and brought to life further lively discussion. The event allowed the participants to gain new knowledge, to work them out in practice, which made it possible to master certain skills necessary to create educational and professional programms. |
