Ukraine through the eyes of foreigners |
In honor of the 30th anniversary of the Independence Day of Ukraine, the 7th faculty for the preparation of foreign students organized a photo exhibition «Ukraine through the eyes of foreigners» in the KhNMU scientific library. The exhibition was held on the last week of August, 2021. On the eve of August 24th, English-speaking students and graduates were invited to send photographs to the dean’s office that they took themselves in different cities of Ukraine during their studies in Kharkov or during their travels during their vacation period. Many students gladly responded to this proposition, because they love our hometown with all their hearts, and simply love to travel around Ukraine. Most students chose the capital of our country, Kiev. However, others chose L’vov in Western Ukraine, Uzhgorod and the Carpathians, Odessa and Kherson in the south of Ukraine, as well as Poltava and Dnipro, also Svyatogorsk in the Donetsk region and the village of Klevan in the Rivne region. It was especially touching to receive photographs that were taken on the territory of the Crimean peninsula before 2014 by graduates of the 6th faculty for the preparation of foreign students, who miss our country and still consider Crimea to be part of Ukraine. In closing, despite all the difficult political and epidemiological temporary difficulties, we are very proud that our foreign students and graduates love Ukraine so much. Some have recommended Kharkiv National Medical University to their relatives and friends for training. Even after completing their studies and receiving a doctor’s diploma, they don’t lose touch with us!
