Educational and Scientific Institute of Quality for Education (ESI QE) was created on September 1, 2016, on the basis of the decision of the Academic Council of the KhNMU. It unites the subdivisions and departments of the university which are responsible for the activity and development of the teaching, educative-methodological, socio-psychological, scientific-intellectual, informational and technological directions of the university's work and is subordinated to the rector and the first vice-rector of scientific and pedagogical work.

- conditions for continuity of education, implementation of educational and research tasks of the Ministry of Healthcare of Ukraine and the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.

In 2018, the university passed an independent external audit. The Ukrainian certification body for quality management systems “Rosuksert” conducted this audit, which confirmed that the quality management system of Kharkiv National Medical University meets the requirements of the state standard ISO 9001: 2015. As a result, the university received a certificate of compliance of the quality management system with the requirements of DSTU ISO 9001: 2015 (ISO 9001: 2015, IDT).
Certificate of conformity of the quality management system guarantees a high level of research and teaching staff, effective methods of providing educational services in the field of health and modern learning conditions for students associated with higher education at the level of qualification requirements for junior specialist, bachelor, specialist, master's degree, including for foreign citizens.
